Wilderness Hillwalk in the Highlands of Scotland
The Wilderness Hillwalk is by far one of the most remote hillwalking experiences in Scotland. You can walk for days and not meet a soul. The walk covers the hills of the Fisherfield and Letterewe Forest. Don't be fooled by the name as there won't be many trees. As a bonus you can climb up An Tealach to end this amazing hillwalk.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Inverness and check into the Bed & Breakfast. We will meet up in the afternoon to check the gear for the expedition and pack everything.
Day 2
Drive to Dundonnell and start walking towards Achneigie bothy and continue up the first hill. Depending on the time we can set up camp after the first hill and set for dinner.
Day 3
Walk the majority of the Letterewe monros and follow the horseshoe to its near end.
Day 4
Finish the ridge with Ruadh Stac Mor and start walking down to Shenavall. Either camp there or continue to the base of An Teallach.
Day 5
As we are at the base of An Teallach it takes no time at all to get up on to the ridge. We will walk along the ridge and get down on the northern end. By afternoon we should be back at the car and start heading back to Inverness. This night will be spent in the comfort of a B & B again.
Day 6
Leaving Inverness again
