Wilderness Hillwalking in the Highlands of Scotland
Ever walked for three days in the hills and didn’t see another person? Well in the area between Loch Maree and Dundonnell you can actually achieve it. However, we can’t guarantee that we are the only ones in the hills. The hills in the Letterewe area are very diverse due to the nature of the rock. You get silver topped quartzite hills and slightly more rugged looking sandstone hills. These hills have however more vegetation than the sandstone hills in Torridon. This is due to the shape of the hills as they are more rounded and shaped by the glaciers.
About the trip itself. The 3 day expedition will take you over 6 munros and you will camp high up on a ridge on 2 nights. After this expedition we believe you will walk away a little bit fitter and happier. You certainly will be looking forward to a hot shower when it’s complete.
Due to stalking at the estates in the area it is only possible to do this walk till mid July.
