Introduction Sea Kayaking Course
Ever watched some sea kayakers paddle along the coast or always wanted to give it a go? Sea kayaking is really good crack no matter if you just go out for day trips or fancy a weekend away with a fully packed kayak. So why not treat yourself to an introduction to sea kayaking course?
You will learn all those skills which will get you going on the sea and more. Our introduction course includes sea kayaks and all the kayaking kit. You will also stay in a nice Bed & Breakfast in Inverness. We can also offer a BCU 1 star certificate at the end of the course. That is if you managed to get to the standard but then it should be easy enough.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Inverness and check into the B&B. After settling in we introduce each other in the afternoon and go through the kit you will need. In the evening after dinner we will do a little theory in sea kayaking and a slide show of trips in the Highlands of Scotland.
Day 2
After breakfast head to a flatwater location near Inverness to get some basic sea kayaking skills in. Usually this encompasses forward paddling, turning, rescues and other basic skills.
Depending on how far we get we head back in the afternoon, get cleaned up and do some tidal planning and weather forecast before dinner. Plan the trip for day 3.
Day 3
In the morning we head to a location in the Moray Firth area for a 1 day sea kayaking trip. This could be either near Cromarty, Hopeman or Chanonry Point. All depending on weather and tide condition.
Day 4
Leaving Inverness.
