Hillwalking from Skye to Glen Shiel

Bla Bheinn in the Isle of SkyeIn the Isle of Skye you can find the most majestic hills in Scotland. The nature of the volcanic Gabbro rock gives the hills the steep jagged look. This short break package offers 2 days walking in the Cuillin hills of Skye and one day walking in the Glen Shiel area which is best known for the 5 Sisters of Kintail and The Saddle.

Itinerary

Day 1

Meet up in Skye at the Bed & Breakfast at Broadford (can provide a lift from Inverness).

Day 2

Drive to the base of Bla Bheinn (Blaven) and walk up the hill. Bla Bheinn has one of the best views of the Black Cuillin Ridge.

Day 3

After another good breakfast head to Gen Brittle and climb some hills on the main Cuillin Ridge. Discuss options for the last day.

Day 4

This day we start driving to the Glen Shiel area and walk up the hills we planned the previous evening. In the evening after the walk head back to Inverness and book into the B&B there.

Kit List

  • Solid hillwalking boots
  • Waterproof Jacket and over trousers
  • Rucksack
  • Enough food and water for one day in the hills (for each day).
  • Enough change of clothing for 3 days hillwalking
