Hillwalking from Skye to Glen Shiel
Skye and Glen Shiel are pretty much as opposite types of hills as you can get it at the west coast of Scotland. However both areas have their own attraction.
Skye with the rugged looks and rough edges. Skye is best known for the main ridge in the Black Cuillins. However, Bla Bheinn (or Blaven) is by far one of the best hills in Skye with the best views over to the main ridge. So we will do that hill on the first day. The second day will see something else. Maybe a hill in the Red Cuillins. Ever heard of them?
Later on this holiday we will go to Glen Shiel, which has some cracking hills too. Somewhat less steep and more vegetated. Which will not disappoint even after a few days in Skye.
