Weekend Hillwalking in Assynt the Far Northwest Highlands
The Northwest Highlands are some of the most obscure hills in Scotland. This is due to the Moin Thrust which lifted many different types of rocks to the surface. The ice ages carved the softer rocks out and created these steep hills with vast flat areas around it.The Plan is to climb up Ben More Assynt and another hill in the area. This could be Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, Quinag, Breabag or any other hill in the area.
