In the Highlands of Scotland you find many areas which are so remote that you can only reach them by boat or on foot. When looking at a road map of the Highlands two areas seem to stick out a little as having no roads in a large space. One would be the Letterewe/Fisherfield area between Loch Maree and Dundonnell. You can walk in this area for days without meeting a soul.

The other area would be Knoydart. There are some small places dotted around, which can only be reached on water or by walking for a bit. Why not walk to Knoydart over hills?
