Sea kayaking trips at the Isle of Skye
The 2 day sea kayaking trip in Skye is a multi day journey with wild camping for one night. This is ideal for people who have some or no experience. In these 2 days you will cover a section of the Skye coastline like Raasay, the Cuillin hills, the Trotternish peninsular at the north of Skye and Waternish with it's huge sea cliffs. There is always something to see, like remote sea Lochs, wildlife, sea cliffs and rugged mountains. One of the most popular area for this trip would be Loch Scavaig and Loch Coruisk. This is a remote area at the south side of the Cuillins and would be usually only be reached by walking for hours or with a small passenger boat. Going there by sea kayak is certainly a more novel way to discover the area and you can land on more spots too. We will provide sea kayaks and some camping equipment with this trip. Contact us for more information.
Itinerary – Skye Explorer Day 1 Meet up in Skye (exact location depends on the weather), load the kayaks and paddle between 10 and 20km somewhere along the Skye coast. There is much to discover and any area in Skye will be remembered. Find a remote place or an island to wild camp, pitch the tents and cook dinner. Day 2 After an early-ish breakfast paddle for another few hours and finish off sometime in early afternoon.
Experience Even though you don't have to have previous experience we still recommend that you have at least done a few trips in a sea kayak or took part in an introduction to sea kayaking course. Fitness Level You should be fairly fit. After all you will spend several hours sea kayaking every day. Doing one fitness activity once a week is usually sufficient

The Isle of Skye is well known for its rugged coast and scenic views. It certainly is a popular place for hillwalkers and sea kayakers alike. The weather can sometimes be a wee bit of a challange. However, it is a big island and there is always some place where you can hide from the strong westerlies.
