This 5 day sea kayaking trip is for people who have already some or little experience in kayaking, since you will spend 5 days in a kayak. This will be a trip you will never forget. Alternatively you can consider the 2 Day Sea Kayaking Trip in Skye.
The Isle of Skye is well known for its rugged coast and scenic views. It certainly is a popular place for hillwalkers and sea kayakers alike. The weather can sometimes be a wee bit of a challange. However, it is a big island and there is always some place where you can hide from the strong westerlies.
Itinerary – Skye Discovery
Day 1 Meet up in Skye, load the kayaks and start paddling. This day will be just an easy paddle to get to know each other and to get used to the water. In late afternoon we set up a camp and get cooking.
Day 2-4 These days are according to weather conditions and the speed we can paddle in a group. We can stop any place we like for a wild camp and if the conditions allow a camp fire.
Day 5 Make that a shorter day to wind down and get back to the cars. Experience
Must be a fairly Experienced paddler. We recommend at least 7 full days sea kayaking previously. Knowing about rescues and packing sea kayaks is an advantage but not essential.
Fitness Level
You should be fairly fit. After all you will spend several hours sea kayaking every day. Doing one fitness activity once a week is usually sufficient

The Discover Skye trip is a multi day trip at the Isle of Skye. Since the Isle of Skye is a large island you can always find some sheltered area even if the weather is kicking up some waves somewhere else. There are many beautiful areas around the island like Raasay, the Cuillins, the Trotternish peninsular at the north of Skye and Waternish with it's huge sea cliffs.
