Canna do without Eigg and Rum
This trip is planned to go ahead for Summer 2010. It will take you from Arisaig to Eigg. Then to Rùm with a day hillwalking in the Rùm Cuillins and after that off to Canna, Spend a day on that remote Island and then take the ferry back to Arisaig. These islands are very exiting and are worth exploring. Rùm with its magnificent hills, Egg with the rough coastline and Canna with its sea cliffs.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Inverness and stay in a loveley B&B near the city centre. In the evening we will all meet up. We also prepare for the expedition to make sure that we will maximise the time in the water the day after.
Day 2
Dive from Inverness to Arisaig. This day we can either paddle straight to Eigg or paddle to the Ariaig Islands and cam there. This would depend on the weather conditions and on the time available.
Day 3
Depending on the previous day either paddle from the Arisaig Islands to Eigg and the explore the coastline of Eigg or just spend all day exploring the beautifull island.
Day 4
Paddle accross to Rùm and spend the rest of the day paddling a wee bit along the island's coast.
Day 5-6
Spend 2 days on Rùm and do either some hillwalking or sea kayaking. At the end of it camp at the west side on Rùm.
Day 7
Sea kayak some more and cross over to Canna. We can then explore the smallest of the 3 islands by foot or by boat. Camp for the last night.
Day 8
Catch the first ferry back to Arisaig and drive back to Inverness to stay again at the B&B for the last time in the city.

Depart from Inverness

Sea kayaks, paddles, sprey deck, buoyancy aid and cagoul can be hired for £20 or £35 per day depending on quality of the sea kayak.
minimum of 5 one day sea kayaking trips in the past. The ability to roll a kayak is not required, but an awareness of rescue techniques can be an advantage.
